Which rodents cause problems in Virginia?

Virginia Tech's school pest management guide names the Norway rat and the roof rat as the state's two main pest rats and the house mouse as its main pest mouse, though Virginia Cooperative Extension's mammals publication says the roof rat is much less common than the Norway rat.
